Autonomous skid steer loader

Unicontrol ApS has partnered with TILSTROM to develop an autonomous solution for skid-steered loaders, aimed at transforming operations in the construction industry. The objective is to enable contractors to automate a wide range of standard tasks.

In the initial phase, TILSTROM’s consultants developed a simulator to test key functionalities — ensuring safe driving as well as precise control of the loader’s arm and bucket.

Wearable tech algorithm development

 
 

For a client in the wearable tech industry, TILSTROM’s consultants supported the development of advanced sports analytics and visualization solutions.

The goal was to provide users with meaningful insights into their daily activities, powered by a variety of sensors in a wrist-worn activity tracker connected to the user’s smartphone.

Using IMU sensors in the tracker, TILSTROM’s consultants developed an algorithm capable of detecting high-level activity states by combining FFT with windowed variance and data-smoothing techniques.

In the next phase, the proof-of-concept implementation in Python will be migrated to Node.js and integrated into the client’s mobile app stack for future release.

Graffiti detection on trains

TILSTROM’s consultants worked on a proposal with a European train operator to detect and report graffiti on their trains. 

The aim of this solution was to provide a system that quickly identifies graffiti on the train carriers, prepares and sends a report to local police authorities and schedules cleaning with minimal human interaction.

In the pre-project phase, TILSTROM’s consultants were developing a robust graffiti detection algorithm, combining AI concepts to classify train type and normal color, while using a windowed outlier detection approach to detect graffiti.
